Error when saving to Photos

"ALAssetsLibraryErrorDomain" when trying to save to photos. Doesnt seem to be a lot of activity on this app anymore. I give it a 2 now, because it doesnt work anymore. Advice? Avoid until the problem is addressed, or download Sketchbook Ink instead. The latter might be the safest bet, all in. Autodesk isnt going anywhere anytime soon.

Epic

Best paintbrush simulator on the App Store ! Add a colour function if possible ( just for the white backgrounds).

Love it!

This is such a fun and high quality drawing app. Very intuitive, simple, elegant and realistic. The tools are great! This is only black and white (grey scale) but I almost enjoy it better as a relaxing way to do great doodles and drawings in not much time. Love it. Thank you for making such a great app!

Brilliant!

Five stars. Well, one can always wish for improvements, new features, etc, and there is surely room for that in its future but IMHO it is an easy five-star application for the sheer simplicity and pleasure we get from the first moment we use it. It is incredibly sensitive too, and more satisfactory that many drawing apps with much bigger ambition and tools (all it offers is a brush), but less "soul". I guess that is the Zen part of it!

Good!

I tried all available japanese calligraphy apps for iPad. This is the only one that support multitasking. And its very good in other aspects as well. Good work. Keep it up.

Display problem

after new update everything ok, thx :)

Good but not updated

I like this app. I think it has tons of potential. The app has a good feel for how the brush would react with a finger but if I want to use the Apple Pencil, it starts to break down. When learning Shodou from a master, how fast you go as well as pressure make a big difference in each specific stroke. For instance the app does not do a good job on the "migibarai" stroke (either pencil or finger). The migibarai stroke even has several variations depending on its position in the kanji character. If the creators were to give more precise control of pressure and tip control as if to act that the Apple Pencil was a Shodou brush, this app would excel to excellence.

Not worth $2.99

Nice app. I like the smooth feel of the brush, however it should cost .99 cents and not $2.99 for what it offers. -You can only undo once -You cannot zoom in and out while drawing. This is very disappointing. This app needs a lot of work!

Trouble but worth it

Please read all of the review - thanks I had this app before the update and I loved it. But when I tried to update it it said I had to purchase it all over again!! Also I have a lot of trouble getting to even that screen. Then I tried again and it finally worked I love this app even more now it is my favorite app. Oh by the way when it says blue there is a w on the end so it says bluew!!

Great app

Great for sketching and easy to use.

Pinch to zoom? Pogo Connect?

This would be an amazing app if you could pinch to zoom in on the image. It would make doing fine details possible. Without a true, fine-tipped stylus, this is an essential feature for art related iOS apps. I think the Pogo Connect pressure settings should also be reversed. Right now, heavier pressure = thinner lines. This is the opposite of true brush behavior. Makes pressure sensitive styluses rather useless, in my opinion.

I Love This App

One thing I wish: For images exported to photos to be importable back to app to continue working on them. I love this app.

Believe the hype!

Love "hand writing" text messages.

Excellent

This is a first-rate app. I keep coming back to this one even while I also use more sophisticated art ones like Art Studio or Art Rage. I especially like the responsiveness to your finger touch and the ink quality. Its quick, very intuitive, and simple to use. Overall its perhaps the most pleasing app I use. Yes, there could be some useful improvements such as being able to alter the size of the canvas and store pictures where you could come back to work on them, and... and... Nevertheless I am delighted with it and feel much gratitude for it.

Great app for practicing hiragana!

Combined with the Pogo Connect, this app is just what I needed to practice my hiragana, katakana, and kanji characters while I settle in for a three-year deployment in Japan.

Zen brush

I really like this app for doing fast black and white portraits. I wish they would add the option of drawing on transparent paper so that I could upload to other programs that have color, and add color behind the black lines from Zen Brush. I dont know if thats possible to do, but if they could, that wood be cool.

Lovely

I have produced illustration for book cover using this app for the initial ground work. Its results are short of amazong.

Works really well

With a Pogo Connect, the brush strokes are quite lovely. Could stand an import feature and multiple undo, but its still good as it is.

My favorite drawing app

This is probably my favorite app overall. I use it all the time to use my iPad as a sketch pad. The way the "ink" flows onto the screen is amazing. The lines and strokes flow like real ink applied by a brush. I wish this app had different colored inks. I wouldnt even need most of my other drawing apps. I highly recommend this app especially if you are an illustrator.

lots of fun

after a few hours with this app Im really enjoying it. it brings out a whole new level of creativity in me versus the more standard writing/drawing apps.
